Upcoming Picnic With IARS POSTPONED

EDIT: The new event is here.

Our upcoming picnic/field day with IARS that was planned to take place on the 28th of March, 2020, has been postponed.

This action has been taken out of concern for our members, especially those of advanced age in the current health crisis due to COVID-19.

Members will be advised by email regarding a new picnic date.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Combined Picnic

A Radio/ Picnic day was held on Saturday 24 September 2016 with members from the Mid South Coast Amateur Radio Club and the Illawarra Amateur Radio Society attending.  It was held at the Killalea State Park

The above picture shows the members who attended with the banners of both clubs.
The picture below shows the whole group including the wives and children of the members attending. Not a large number of contacts were made but much time was spent discussing equipment and radio in general.  Of special interest was the demonstration by Steve who with the aid of his tablet operated his home station by remote control

New Call Sign

Hear Yea, Hear Yea.

Let it be known to all members and friends of the Mid South Coast Amateur Radio Club that John Lukey is hereby licenced to use the call sign of VK2JG. This call sign was until recently the call sign of the late Noel Hill. I was granted permission to aquire it by his XYL Nancy VK2NPG.

I would like to thank Ted VK2ARA and Petra from the WIA for their assistance in changing over the licence.  Quite painless apart from the fee.
